The conference provides a forum for leaders in the global Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) industries. Both men are founders of wot.io.

Proithis served as an expert presenter on a panel entitled "The Alphabet Soup of IoT: Our Digital Life on a Smarter Planet," which examined the marketing hype versus the business reality and very real value in connecting things to a digital life, smarter planet, and everything else.

He also contributed to the panel "Contextualization: Knowing the Where, When and Why," focusing on the context and perspective BI solutions provide in managing real-time data to make better-informed decisions.

The sessions took place at the conference, held this week at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
