Rakowski brings over 10 years' experience in application and systems management strategy to AppDynamics, most recently as an analyst at Forrester Research, where he provided strategic guidance to vendor and end-user clients in web and mobile application performance management (APM), IT operational analytics (ITOA), modern service delivery (DevOps), and emerging innovations in digital business analytics. Rakowski brings to AppDynamics a deep understanding of the challenges today's modern software-defined digital businesses face, and how APM and associated ITOA technologies can be used to optimize business outcomes.

In a separate news release issued today, AppDynamics announced the appointment of Jonah Kowall as vice president of market development and insights. Kowall formerly led Gartner's Application Performance Monitoring and Network Performance Monitoring & Diagnostics magic quadrants as a research vice president. Together, the announcements underscore AppDynamics' continued laser-focus on market expansion, while building a team of seasoned professionals deeply familiar with the issues, challenges, and best practices facing CIOs and IT operations management groups at today's modern software-defined businesses.

Prior to Forrester Research, Rakowski served as a senior customer solutions architect for Fujitsu UK, designing and leading systems and application management strategies for a wide variety of UK government organizations. Before this, Rakowski was a head of service management for Dilgenter Ltd, a specialist professional and managed services provider, where he helped build strategic alliances with Microsoft and led enterprise deployments of systems and software management solutions in the financial services sector, most notably for Deutsche Bank, Halifax Bank Of Scotland (HBOS), Citigroup and KPMG. Prior to Dilgenter Ltd, he was a senior technologist at Capgemini S.A.
