BARCELONA, SPAIN -- (Marketwired) -- 02/25/15 -- (Mobile World Congress Hall 7, Booth 7A71) -- XCellAir, formed with the vision of enabling wireless service providers to efficiently manage, optimize and monetize their wireless networks, today announced the launch of its strategic ecosystem.
Publically launched ahead of Mobile World Congress, XCellAir's network is comprised of Wi-Fi access point (AP) and LTE small cell vendors, and Self-Organizing Network (SON) suppliers. With the support of its ecosystem, XCellAir helps wireless service providers unlock the untapped potential of Heterogeneous Networks (HetNets) consisting of Wi-Fi and / or cellular small cells to deliver massive increases in network capacity, extended coverage and a lower cost-per-bit.
The interoperation of Wi-Fi AP products with the XCellAir system enables a seamless and rapid deployment experience for wireless solutions providers.
Initial collaborations in this space include:
By integrating directly with leading LTE SON technology, XCellAir leverages best-of-breed and proven technology to deliver a complete solution in place of traditional, disparate systems. Initial collaborations in this space include:
"With mobile data traffic projected to surpass 15.9 exabytes per month by 2018, consumer demand for data shows no signs of slowing down," said Narayan Menon, Founder, CTO & EVP of Engineering at XCellAir. "Thanks to the support of our rich partner ecosystem, XCellAir enables wireless service providers to meet this demand head on. As we continue to strengthen our network, we're looking forward to providing an even more seamless experience to our customers."
XCellAir's technology has been in development for more than a year. The result: a market launch underscored by a solid product foundation, an experienced and knowledgeable team, and the support of a strong ecosystem around its mobile network management and optimization solution. The continued development of that ecosystem will help XCellAir provide customers with new paths for monetization through intelligent capacity management, differentiated quality of service enforcement and context-aware analytics. In turn, companies in XCellAir's network will offer a comprehensive network management solution to their customers, accelerating the deployment of their differentiated, high-value products.
