RICHARDSON, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 03/01/15 -- Hitachi Communication Technologies America, Inc. (Hitachi CTA) announced availability of its virtual Mobile Core (vMC) solution suite.
Hitachi CTA's virtual Mobile Core (vMC) solution suite consists of several Telco Cloud Carrier-grade products which can be deployed either standalone or in combinations based on operator needs. The vMC solution suite includes MME, MME-XT3, SGSN, Small Cell Gateway, EMS and VNF Manager. Hitachi CTA's MME-XT3 - (MME-eXTended capabilities) is a composite VNF combining MME, SGSN and an integrated SGW that provides a S5/S8 interface to the PGW. All products in Hitachi CTA vMC solution suite runs as virtual applications on a variety of virtual infrastructures, including Juniper's Contrail Cloud, VMware and Openstack/KVM to name a few. Hitachi CTA's vMC solution suite is platform agnostic and supports a mobile network operator's preferred platform choice.
Hitachi CTA vMC solution suite addresses evolving needs of wireless service providers to quickly deploy carrier-grade Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) applications in a Telco Cloud, without the need to invest in discrete, proprietary physical network elements. Hitachi CTA is leveraging the robust and highly available commercial NFVI architecture, creating a truly elastic set of network functions that maximizes the benefits of virtual network elements to add capacity without complexity.
