OXFORD, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwired) -- 03/11/15 -- Sophos today announced the appointment of Michael Anderson as senior vice president, global technical services. Anderson will lead the company's customer support strategy worldwide, driving customer and partner service excellence across the entire range of Sophos IT security offerings.

Anderson brings more than 30 years of leadership and global organization development expertise from within the security software industry. Prior to Sophos, Anderson was vice president for Fortinet Inc., where he oversaw all support services worldwide. Following the acquisition of Nokia's Network Security Division, Anderson was director, global services at Check Point Software Technologies, managing a team of professionals across 81 countries. Prior to Nokia, Anderson implemented a carrier-class support process at Mobius Interactive and eventually integrated the company with Glenayre Technologies. During five years as vice president of services for SonicWALL Inc., Anderson developed and launched a portfolio of services, including subscription-based offerings. His earlier career also included service and support roles at SGI (Silicon Graphics) Global Services, Electro-Scientific Industries and Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC).
