Starting with 33 of the most infamous villains, and with nearly 7,900 votes cast by the thwack® community, only Darth Vader® is left standing as the ultimate overlord.

The third annual SolarWinds® Bracket Battle featured a March Mayhem-style competition among classic comic, horror movie and science-fiction villains. Driven purely by community votes, the Bracket Battle saw weapons wielded and spells cast, but the SolarWinds thwack community and beyond helped decide who was foiled and the one who, in the end, ruled them all.

In the final matchup, Darth Vader faced off against Loki®. In their journey to the final, both games came up against fierce competition:

• Darth Vader used the dark side of the force to put a strangle hold on Voldemort®, Jason, Sauron® and Agent Smith on his way to the diabolical round of play
• Loki, on the other hand, used his magical forces to thwart The Kurgen™, Khan, Skeletor® and Terminator 1000 to make it to the diabolical round

In the end, however, Darth Vader won with 74 percent of the vote.

In 2016, SolarWinds Bracket Battle 4.0 will return with 33 new challengers poised for dominance.
