The Cloudera executive joins current board members Derek Collison, founder and CEO of Apcera; Anders Lindblad, head of Business Unit Cloud & IP and senior vice president at Ericsson; and Vidar Mohammar, vice president & corporate officer finance at Ericsson.

Dunn has a wide-ranging background in technology engineering, marketing, and sales. During his nearly 20-year career, Dunn has worked extensively with established and high-growth companies, as well as Fortune 200 organizations, successfully building strategic sales and product divisions, and leading international expansion. Before joining Cloudera, he served as the CEO of PowerFile, Inc., which was successfully sold to Hitachi LG Data Storage, and was CEO of Bang Networks Inc. Prior to joining Bang Networks, Dunn served as vice president of North American Field Operations at Inktomi. He came to Inktomi from Network Equipment Technologies, Inc. (NET), where he held executive positions in sales, marketing and professional services. Earlier in his career, he worked for IBM in senior sales positions. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Applied Sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles.
