MILPITAS, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/20/15 -- FireEye, Inc. (NASDAQ: FEYE), the leader in stopping today's advanced cyber attacks, today announced an expansion of its Fuel partner program with the launch of the FireEye Fuel Cyber Security Coalition (CSC), which brings together security and infrastructure vendors to create an ecosystem to better protect customers. This FireEye-led initiative creates integrations to rapidly protect joint customers, helping enterprises block advanced attacks.
The Cyber Security Coalition creates a foundation to facilitate the sharing of intelligence and advanced workflows, enabling partners to better leverage and operationalize the FireEye platform. CSC partners can also leverage FireEye Community Threat Intelligence (CTI), a standards compliant solution that enables organizations to bi-directionally share threat intelligence.
FireEye provides CSC partners with real-time threat intelligence that strengthens security and infrastructure products and services. CSC partners can gain access and insight into threat actors such as APT1, APT 28 and FIN4, as well as the broad array of FireEye intelligence, to help enterprises more effectively shield data and intellectual property.
"Expanding Fuel with the Cyber Security Coalition extends FireEye's security platform to a broader community of organizations that rely on our threat intelligence insights for protection against today's new breed of cyber attacks," said David DeWalt, FireEye chairman of the board and CEO. "Advanced attack groups hit organizations hard and organizations should leverage the unique visibility FireEye provides and move quickly to deploy this data across their networks. CSC makes this intelligence much more widely available, enabling far more rapid and effective customer protection."
"FireEye partners will benefit from quick, easy access to the world's leading threat intelligence where it matters most -- in a customer's network," said Ed Barry, Global VP, Cyber Security Coalition. "Fuel CSC allows FireEye and its partners to better protect customers against advanced attackers, strengthening cyber security for enterprises globally."
"Sharing threat intelligence across vendors and customer environments is a key step to defending against cyber attacks," said Haiyan Song, SVP Security Markets of Splunk, a CSC partner. "Deepening the integration among alliance members better enables Splunk customers to quickly operationalize the threat intelligence they receive to incorporate it into detection, investigation, forensics and recovery. Sharing threat intelligence amongst the threat intelligence alliance members improves enterprise security posture by better leveraging, utilizing and sharing insights with the broader community."
"Analyzing threats without understanding the key role that privileged accounts play in attacks leaves organizations vulnerable to future attacks," said Adam Bosnian, EVP Global Business Development of CyberArk, a CSC partner. "We are happy to see FireEye recognize this critical attack vector and are pleased to join the Fuel CSC program to share and receive valuable threat intelligence information."
Launched in 2013, FireEye Fuel is a comprehensive set of partner programs designed to address cyber security priorities. The Cyber Security Coalition is the latest addition to the Fuel partner program. A listing of CSC Partners can be found at https://www.fireeye.com/partners/alliance-partners.html.
About FireEye, Inc.
FireEye has invented a purpose-built, virtual machine-based security platform that provides real-time threat protection to enterprises and governments worldwide against the next generation of cyber attacks. These highly sophisticated cyber attacks easily circumvent traditional signature-based defenses, such as next-generation firewalls, IPS, anti-virus, and gateways. The FireEye Threat Prevention Platform provides real-time, dynamic threat protection without the use of signatures to protect an organization across the primary threat vectors and across the different stages of an attack life cycle. The core of the FireEye platform is a virtual execution engine, complemented by dynamic threat intelligence, to identify and block cyber attacks in real time. FireEye has over 3,100 customers across 67 countries, including over 200 of the Fortune 500.
