Combining its connected furniture with CentraLite's connected sensors, lighting, and thermostat controls, Leggett & Platt (LP) Smart Products has launched LPConnect® Devices, a series of intelligent devices designed to meet the ever-changing demands of a connected guest environment. The package creates a completely unique experience that isn't found in hotels, today, allowing guests to enjoy control and personalization while hotels enjoy cost savings due to enhanced energy management. Visit LP Smart Products' booth #3211 at HD Expo in Las Vegas for a demo and to learn more.
"The smart hotel of the future is here, and we're thrilled to work with LP Smart Products to enable it," said Jimmy Busby, Chief Executive Officer of CentraLite Systems. "Guests will enjoy unprecedented control, automation, and personalization, while hotels can enjoy cost savings due to enhanced energy efficiency. This collaboration is yet another example of CentraLite leading the industry in enabling the most sophisticated applications for our connected world."
"This relationship combines CentraLite's connected home engineering expertise with our more than 130 years providing innovative solutions that transform living spaces to change hospitality for both hotels and guests as we know it," said Jason Turner, General Manager at LP Smart Products. "The result is a completely new guest experience that, at the same time, delivers cost savings for hotels."
Example applications of the CentraLite and LP Smart Products collaboration include a sensor in a desk chair that automatically turns a light on when a guest sits down or sensors in the bed that can detect when a guest has laid down. The thermostat can automatically adjust to a cooler temperature to promote better sleep or a light can be automatically switched on if the guest gets out of bed. Occupancy sensors notify hotel staff when rooms are unoccupied so housekeeping or maintenance can enter without disturbing the guest.
