NOTTINGHAM, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwired) -- 05/27/15 -- GameCity's recently unveiled National Videogame Arcade (NVA) is the world's first cultural center to celebrate and explore videogame culture. The arcade showcases a range of displays including vintage arcade machines, home computers and more. The NVA also features a series of special exhibits built on the x86-based Gizmo 2 single-board computer (SBC) from the GizmoSphere community.

The first special exhibition in the NVA's constantly changing program is Jump!, an in-depth exploration of this fundamental gameplay mechanic. Jump! examines the history and spirit of jumping, from Donkey Kong (1981) to Destiny (2014), through a series of innovative interactive exhibits and playable games. An integral part of the exhibit is the Jump-o-tron, a new machine -- produced by the NVA and powered by Gizmo 2 -- that enables players to control the physics of a game, adjust gravity, create characters and design their own perfect jump.
