LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwired) -- 06/16/15 -- OxCEPT, the technology company behind the development of the world's most secure protocols for transmitting data, today announced Steve Bennett, former Chief Executive Officer of Intuit Inc. and former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Symantec Corp., has been appointed to the company's Board of Directors.

Bennett previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of Intuit from 2000 to 2007 and during his tenure annual revenues grew from US$1 Billion to US$2.7 Billion. In 2010, he joined the Board of Directors of Symantec and became Chairman in 2011. He then went on to serve as its Chief Executive Officer in July 2012.
Previously, Bennett held a number of management roles at General Electric, including GE Capital e-Business, GE Capital Vendor Financial Services, GE Electrical Distribution and Control, GE Appliances, GE Medical Systems and GE Supply.
Bennett has served on several significant boards including Intuit, Symantec, Sun Microsystems, Oracle, American Airlines, and Qualcomm. He is a member of the Chancellors Advisory Board for the University of Wisconsin while previously serving as the Chairman of the Dean's Advisory Board of the Wisconsin School of Business. Bennett graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor's degree in finance and real estate.
