SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/01/15 -- Moogsoft, the leading provider of big data operations analytics and situation management for enterprise service assurance, today announced a strategic alliance with HCL Technologies (NSE: HCLTECH), a leading global IT services provider. The partnership will address the substantial market opportunity to modernize IT service assurance for large enterprises, so companies can move faster with innovations in the highly competitive new era of software redefining business.
HCL will act both as a worldwide reseller of Incident.MOOG to global enterprises and telecom providers, as well as integrate the Moogsoft platform as the Manager of Managers (MoM) layer within HCL AUTOPS and deliver it as part of its MTaaS Platform. MTaaS is an award-winning business service management platform for large enterprise customers and AUTOPS capability has been available for over a decade on the platform. MTaaS was one of the first industrialized platforms to offer BSM and ITSM tools as a service to enterprise customers, who in turn can consume it using hybrid delivery models. In addition to partnerships with leading technology providers, MTaaS also combines IP solutions, frameworks and best practices as a service. HCL chose Moogsoft to add more autonomics, machine learning, and self-healing capabilities across its service offerings.
"Our constant endeavor is to provide best-in-class functionality for service assurance so our customers can outperform with IT and software. HCL has started upgrading its 70-plus global customers on MTaaS platform proactively to this platform and shortly customers will start getting the benefits of the latest in machine learning and autonomics," said Kalyan Kumar, SVP & chief technologist - ITO. "Moogsoft's machine learning and socialized workflows are the future of Operations Integration to deliver a Multi Supplier, MultiCloud Service Integration & Management for the next-gen enterprise, essential innovations for our customers to scale the operations of multiple technology domains and improve support teams with automation and collaboration."
HCL is the first managed service provider to revamp its IT service assurance offering using automated machine learning and situation-driven workflows. The move to new technologies like Cloud, Software Defined Infrastructures (SDI), Mobile and the Internet of Things (IoT) increases the raw event and log rates exponentially, overwhelming operational support staff. Legacy monitoring tools and services simply cannot scale to address the complex and dynamic outputs of these modern IT architectures. Using machine learning to automatically reduce the big data steams to contextual situations, Moogsoft helps customers uncap their operational data, detecting faults earlier, and streamlining workflow for faster remediation -- all without increases in support resources.
"HCL demonstrates continuous innovation as a clear leader redefining the outsourced IT services market, and we felt it crucial to our expanding business to solicit their partnership," said Phil Tee, CEO of Moogsoft. "HCL significantly expands Moogsoft's reach to support global enterprises, along with access to comprehensive service delivery and high-scale IT systems operations acumen."
