The concept of building our own open source distributed systems for networking was born out of necessity to process the massive traffic traversing through two of the world's most visited sites, Amazon and Google. These architects who are now building today's open source distributed systems and network virtualization have chosen open source technologies as building blocks.

This session will explore how the architects behind MidoNet, a popular open source network virtualization solution, use other open source technologies such as Zookeeper and Cassandra to design distributed systems for IaaS clouds.
