SANTA CLARA, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/11/15 -- Flash Memory Summit - Today, BiTMICRO® Networks, Inc. announced the release of the company's MAXio® Z-Series PCIe solid state drives (SSDs). Powered by the BiTMICRO-patented Talino ASIC architecture, the new MAXio Z-Series full height SSDs offer outstanding capacity, flash management, and high performance for companies that need to support large volumes of application workloads.
BiTMICRO MAXio Z-Series SSDs are based on the company's industry-proven Talino ASIC architecture and include two in-house developed ASIC flash controllers for enhanced application performance. The new Z-Series also supports higher storage capacities -- up to 8.8 TB in a PCIe edge card form factor -- based on offloading the Flash Translation Layer (FTL) from the host server to the SSD. In addition, DriveLight Management Software allows users to simplify MAXio SSD administration with easy-to-use, interactive features.
"With MAXio Z-Series SSDs, organizations of every size can achieve unprecedented high capacity and performance along with advanced flash management capabilities," said Zophar Sante, Manager of Strategic Accounts, BiTMICRO. "The new Z Series marks a continuation of our proud tradition of offering value-added SSD technology -- not only to high-demand military and industrial computing environments such as air and space, military systems, and mobile industrial solutions, but also to enterprise and mid-market customers."
The MAXio Z-Series PCIe SSDs are ideal for a wide range of enterprise applications including video on demand (VOD), database acceleration, online analytics, and file servers. The Z-Series is also an ideal solution for applications with heavy load demands such as cloud services and virtualization.
Key features of BiTMICRO MAXio Z-Series PCIe SSDs include:
