OSHAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 08/04/15 -- Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 22,826 vehicles in July 2015 versus 23,973 in July 2014.

John Roth, vice president, sales, service and marketing for GM Canada said, "While July sales slowed slightly after a particularly strong June, we continue to see growing strength in our brands and products with our overall sales up 5 per cent for the calendar year to date. Driving these results in the highly competitive pickup truck segment, the GMC Canyon, Sierra and Sierra HD are experiencing calendar year to date growth of 23 per cent."

July 2015 Brand Sales Highlights:

--  Chevrolet for the month of July saw sales of the Sonic up 303 per cent,
    Volt up 14 per cent, Cruze up 4 per cent, Corvette up 20 per cent and
    the Tahoe up 5 per cent 
--  Buick crossover sales were up 9 per cent for the month driven by sales
    of the Enclave (up 18 per cent) and Encore (up 4 per cent) 
--  GMC total sales are up 0.5 per cent for the month, fueled by GMC's
    pickup truck portfolio which is up 1.2 per cent for the month 
--  Cadillac luxury SUV portfolio sales were up 12 per cent for the month,
    driven by sales of the SRX, up 12 per cent, and Escalade up 10 per cent
