HP Security Voltage, Formerly Voltage Security, Delivers Data-Centric Data Security From the Network Edge as Part of HP and F5 Collaboration

HP Security Voltage Teams With F5 to Guard Against Data Breaches at the Network Perimeter

SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/07/15 -- HP Security Voltage, formerly Voltage Security and a leading provider of data-centric security, today announced that it is part of the ongoing collaboration between HP and F5 Networks, Inc. Since 2006, HP and F5 have collaborated to resolve business and technology challenges for enterprise customers. F5 is a member of the HP AllianceONE program, with affiliations in Security, Networking, and Enterprise Management specialties. This alliance provides a best-of-breeds technology choice for customers looking to increase business efficiency, by aligning business challenges with IT infrastructures.

HP Security Voltage helps combine F5's BIG-IP® application delivery technologies with HP SecureData data-centric security solutions to greatly reduce privacy compliance cost and risk. The combined solution enables enterprises to neutralize data threats at the network edge through automatic tokenization and encryption of sensitive data elements as they enter the enterprise through F5-controlled network feeds and Internet channels. Protecting data automatically at the network edge can achieve a substantial reduction in the scope of compliance audits. By minimizing live data exposure, risk against increasingly advanced threats is reduced inside enterprise systems, databases and applications from unauthorized users.

"With 2015 underway, we know that hackers and data thieves will continue their relentless drive to thwart protection measures. An enterprise data breach causes immeasurable damage to corporate reputation and exposure to financial liabilities. Today's enterprise must have a complete data protection strategy, using proven encryption, tokenization and data de-identification approaches that protect the data itself, not just the data containers and network perimeters," states Mark Bower, global director of product management, HP Security Voltage. "Through the use of HP Security Voltage data-centric security and F5 solutions, mutual customers can significantly mitigate risks of a data breach and do so cost-effectively."

"HP Security Voltage brings additional data security benefits to joint customers," states Jeff Bellamy, Senior Director, Business Development, F5 Networks. "To drive success, we continually look to expand opportunities in adjacent markets with our strategic partners. This approach helps extend the value of application delivery environments, and today's announcement further clears a path for organizations to deploy HP Security Voltage and F5 solutions in concert."
