PALO ALTO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 01/20/15 -- Instart Logic, the Cloud Application Delivery Service for performance-obsessed organizations, today announced findings from a third-party report that validates Software-Defined Application Delivery (SDAD) as the superior application delivery method. According to a hands-on study by leading global advisory firm Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG), for the top 30 e-commerce websites based on the Keynote Mobile Commerce Performance Index (exclusive for Internet Retailer), SDAD showed a 75 percent reduction in website load times as compared to traditional content delivery network (CDN) technologies, for 28 of the top 30 websites. The two sites that did not see performance gains are existing Instart Logic customers running on the SDAD service. This unprecedented acceleration in Web performance marks a shakeup in the application delivery industry that has e-commerce, media and SaaS organizations leaving CDN vendors in favor of Instart Logic.
"Companies using CDNs -- many of which rely on Web applications for success -- are hobbled by slow page loads that impact the customer experience, especially on mobile devices," said Brian Garrett, vice president, ESG. "SDAD represents a new architectural approach that takes into account the Internet, the wireless last mile, the device and the application itself to improve performance for the user. For organizations, this improved performance translates into increased revenue, customer satisfaction and competitive advantage."
According to data derived from ESG Lab tests, Instart Logic delivers faster, more reliable mobile Web performance as compared with CDNs, greatly improving the digital user experience. It ensures performance is not compromised when delivering rich applications over the wireless last mile to mobile devices. Furthermore, by virtue of its SDAD foundation, Instart Logic's solution "future-proofs" application delivery, allowing it to maintain top performance even with advancements in networks and applications.
ESG Lab also found key differentiating features that help improve the end-user experience when loading Web page content. Specifically Image Streaming with SmartVision, HTML Streaming, On-Demand Image Resizing and Transcoding, and InstantLoad to "help the website owners enhance the end-user experience, while reducing time to render and time to interact with a website for the end-user," according to the report.
"Our customers demand the best when it comes to delivering rich Web experiences to end-users, and we are committed to doing just that," said Manav Mital, CEO of Instart Logic. "Independent tests conducted by a well-respected global advisory firm like ESG reaffirms Instart Logic as the premier choice for online retailers that are looking to boost the performance and speed of their Web applications, especially on mobile devices."
The ESG Lab tests were conducted on websites represented by the Keynote Systems Top 30 Mobile Commerce Index, a well-documented and prominent group of websites. Keynote Systems was not involved in the actual testing. Read complete report for more details.
