SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/11/15 -- Vectra Networks, the leader in real-time detection of cyber attacks in-progress, today announced that it was named a finalist in four awards categories for the 2015 American Business Awards.
Vectra Networks was named a finalist in the Most Innovative Tech Company of the Year and Tech Startup of the Year awards categories. In addition, its S-series sensor product earned finalist honors in the Technical Innovation of the Year and New Product or Service of the Year - Software - Security Solution awards categories.
The American Business Awards are considered the nation's preeminent business awards program. All organizations operating in the US are eligible to submit nominations -- public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. The American Business Awards will be presented at two awards events: the ABA's traditional banquet on Monday, June 22, in Chicago; and the new product & technology awards event on Friday, September 11, in San Francisco.
"So many fascinating and inspiring stories of success were submitted to the ABAs this year," said Stevie Awards president and founder Michael Gallagher. "We congratulate all of our 2015 finalists on their achievements."
More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. Finalists were chosen by scores of business professionals nationwide during first-round judging in April and May. Members of several specialized judging committees will determine Stevie Award placements from among the finalists during final judging, to take place later this month. Details about The American Business Awards and the list of finalists in all categories are available at www.StevieAwards.com/ABA.
"Vectra Networks is experiencing strong customer traction and we are proud to be honored as a finalist in four American Business Awards categories out of more than 3,300 nominations," said Mike Banic, Vectra Networks VP of Marketing. "Vectra Networks continues to receive industry recognition for our differentiated approach to automatically detect threats and cyber attacks in real time by combining data science and behavioral analysis. And with our S-series sensor, we are the first to extend automated real-time cybersecurity into all corners of an organization, including previous blind spots such as remote sites and internal network segments."
Vectra Networks delivers a new class of advanced persistent threat (APT) defense delivering real-time detection and analysis of active network breaches. Vectra technology picks up where perimeter security leaves off by providing deep, continuous analysis of both internal and Internet-bound network traffic to automatically detect all phases of a breach as attackers attempt to spy, spread, and steal within a network. Vectra uses a patent-pending combination of data science and behavioral analysis to detect malicious behavior in the network. All detections are correlated and prioritized to show an attack in context, so security analysts can address the highest business risks quickly, rather than spending valuable time sifting through thousands of alerts.
