SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/16/15 -- Midokura, a global startup focused on network virtualization, today announced its Silver sponsorship and plans to exhibit and present at Red Hat Summit, the industry's premier open source technology event, held June 23-26, 2015, in Boston. Midokura's enterprise offering, known as MEM, combines the most stable, production-hardened version of MidoNet for network virtualization with MidoNet Manager, longer term support and enterprise-class 24/7 service level agreement. The latest release of MEM, announced last month, offers enhanced operational and management features, along with new support for OpenStack Kilo, and for container-based environments, such as Docker.
In April, Midokura announced its Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform Version 6 certification for MEM. The certification enables customers to deploy MEM on the newest version of OpenStack with confidence, from start to finish, armed with Midokura and Red Hat's easy, multi-vendor collaborative support. Midokura is a proud participant of the Red Hat Connect for Technology Partners program, which connects business and technical resources to third-party technology companies who are aligning with Red Hat's OpenStack product offerings.
The open source version of MidoNet is quickly gaining in popularity around the globe by organizations of all sizes. The MidoNet platform provides a software layer directly within existing physical network hardware, turning physical machines into a virtual platform that can scale to hundreds of thousands of virtual ports.
