With Los Angeles Air Force Base completing its installation of IWS Alerts, the interactive emergency alerting solution now protects approximately 600,000 active duty and civilian personnel at 93 major installations around the world.

The AtHoc solution provides the Air Force with true two-way communication during a crisis. Personnel in a central location can rapidly send emergency alerting information via a wide variety of channels to alert all personnel regardless of location. Alerting options include desktop pop-up, mobile text message, email, or mobile phone, and sirens. Personnel can also share information collaboratively using rich media content such as maps, photos and video to aid first responders.

As an integral part of protecting personnel, the AtHoc solution streamlines the Air Force's personnel accountability requirements. In addition to two-way communication that allows employees to respond with details on their situation, IWSAlerts gives central operators the ability to track responses. This simplifies the work of emergency responders by determining who may be in need of assistance in a crisis.
