BEAVERTON, OR -- (Marketwired) -- 04/07/15 -- Open Scalable File Systems (OpenSFS), the premier non-profit organization promoting the use, advancing the capability, and coordinating releases of the Lustre® file system, is announcing the release of Lustre 2.7. Large portions of new feature development were funded by OpenSFS through dues collected from participants with significant contributions from Lustre teams at Intel and Indiana University. Lustre 2.7 is available for immediate download.
"Lustre continues its march towards wider enterprise use. This latest version will entice long-time users to quickly upgrade with the improvements in consistency verification and real-time network configuration, highly desirable in mission critical deployments," said Charlie Carroll, OpenSFS Interim Chairman.
The largest annual Lustre event, LUG 2015, is being held April 13-15, 2015, in Denver, CO. The three days of deep technical talks and discussions will cover Lustre 2.7 and other versions.
