SUNNYVALE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/01/15 -- Exablox®, the award-winning company reimagining storage, today announced that it is expanding its OneBlox® family with the introduction of OneBlox 4312 storage appliance. The new solution delivers up to 10 times the performance and twice the capacity of the company's first product, the OneBlox 3308, extending the company's disruptive storage suite. The OneBlox 4312 provides customers an agile choice for scale-out storage capacity with enterprise-class features at a price affordable for all customers. With integrated in-line deduplication, continuous snapshots and remote replication OneBlox enables organizations to address a wide range of use cases. In addition to support for archiving and certification from Veeam, Symantec Backup Exec, Unitrends, and others, OneBlox supports technical applications, unstructured data such as documents, images and videos.
Unlike scale-up storage which is both costly and difficult to manage, Exablox's patent pending architecture solves businesses' common storage pain points: complicated installation, cumbersome storage management, lack of data security and forklift upgrades. Without the shackles of a legacy storage architecture, Exablox's clean-sheet approach combines the OneBlox appliance with OneSystem, an elegant multi-tenant cloud-based management service. OneBlox leverages a flexible scale-out ring architecture that lets customers add more capacity easily and pay as they grow, ensuring optimal storage utilization.
Exablox continues its industry leading support for the latest disk drive technologies. OneBlox 4312 immediately supports HGST 8TB SAS and SATA drives, delivering 96TB of capacity in a single appliance and scaling to nearly 700TB in a single filesystem.
"As an existing Exablox customer, I'm excited about the new OneBlox 4312. Storage management continues to be advanced yet simple with OneBlox. I was able to deploy the initial 4312 in minutes and expand it to a multi-OneBlox Ring with zero configuration in less than 10 minutes," said Russ Brooks, IT Systems Manager, Coughlin Porter Lundeen. "The new 4312 is amazingly fast. I'll be able to replace my old storage servers with a single solution that can grow easily."
"As data growth continues to surge, the pain points associated with legacy storage only get worse. As a result, we continue to see acceptance of our agile approach with scale-out, object-based storage," said Douglas Brockett, CEO of Exablox. "With our new addition to the OneBlox family, we're extending our innovation and offering customers an affordable enterprise class solution to solve performance driven application requirements."
The OneBlox 4312 is $11,995 and is available immediately.
