SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/20/15 -- A10 Networks (NYSE: ATEN), a technology leader in application networking, announced today that it has collaborated with RSA, The Security Division of EMC, to help increase security capabilities for joint customers. Through its RSA® Ready Technology Partner Program, RSA has validated interoperability with A10 Thunder Application Delivery Controller's (ADC) innovative SSL Insight feature, which allows RSA Security Analytics to inspect SSL and uncover hidden threats in encrypted traffic. Additionally, A10 will be providing demos of its SSL Insight technology to RSA Conference 2015 attendees, April 20-24, in Moscone Center South Expo booth number 1133.
Security teams are tasked with combating increasing SSL bandwidth and complexity, including the lack of decryption support for outbound SSL traffic. The A10 Thunder ADC is the first load balancing solution to offer SSL Insight features such as URL classification. It also provides the highest performance SSL inspection solution available to enable large enterprises to decrypt SSL traffic at rapid speeds. Thunder ADC customers gain essential visibility into SSL traffic, allowing them to eliminate the SSL blind spot in corporate defenses, detect advanced attacks, and scale RSA Security Analytics deployments with load balancing.
"We are honored to collaborate with RSA to further empower security operations teams to detect and investigate the most advanced security attacks," said Paul Nicholson, Director of Product Marketing at A10 Networks. "A10 Thunder ADC delivers a wide array of SSL inspection, load balancing and high availability features to satisfy and exceed customers' requirements. Joint A10 and RSA customers can now utilize these high-performance SSL Insight technologies to gain full visibility into all communications."
"RSA Security Analytics is a market leader in packet capture and analysis. We combine that with log collection, endpoint data and Netflow to go beyond traditional SIEM and provide a high level of visibility, inspection and analysis," said Chad Loeven, Director of Partnerships, RSA. "By adding enhanced SSL interoperability to our RSA Security Analytics platform, we are helping to provide our customers with unparalleled awareness and control over increasingly complex security threats at scale."
"If organizations do not inspect encrypted traffic, they're losing visibility into a rapidly increasing portion of traffic," said Jeff Wilson, Principal Analyst at Infonetics Research, now part of IHS Inc. "As the total volume of encrypted traffic on the Internet crosses the 50% mark, companies need to seriously look at adding SSL inspection tools to their security arsenal."
The RSA Ready Technology Partner Program is one of the largest and longest-running technology alliance programs of its type, certifying interoperabilities on more than 700 solutions across more than 300 organizations.
