BELLEVUE, WA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/12/15 -- ScaleOut Software, a leading provider of in-memory computing software, announced the company has been named a "Cool Vendor" in the recent "In-Cool Vendors in In-Memory Computing Technologies, 2015" report by Gartner analysts Massimo Pezzini, Roxane Edjlali, and Nick Heudecker.
According to the report, "In-memory computing (IMC) enables superfast data processing at scale. Hence, it naturally supports emerging digital business requirements for speed, scale and real-time insights. Application architecture leaders should leverage innovative IMC technologies to enable dramatic business transformation."
"We're honored to be recognized as a 'Cool Vendor' by Gartner," said Dr. William L. Bain, ScaleOut Software Founder and CEO. "Our in-memory technology allows our customers to analyze high-velocity data in the moment using in-memory, data-parallel computing techniques. This in turn enables e-commerce vendors to target their customers during their buying process, financial analysts to immediately respond to changing market conditions, manufacturers to tune logistics planning or predict faults and failures before they happen, and a myriad of other vertical applications."
ScaleOut Software's in-memory computing platform, including ScaleOut Analytics Server® and ScaleOut hServer® integrates a distributed, in-memory data store with a data-parallel compute engine capable of running Hadoop and other big data analytics in real time. Bill explains, "This software platform enables analytics applications to be hosted within live systems, and provide immediate and continuous feedback known as 'operational intelligence'." ScaleOut's platform has been designed from the ground up with a focus on low-latency, fast access, high-availability, and scalable performance for enterprise-class mission critical applications.
