MILPITAS, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/18/15 -- FireEye, Inc. (NASDAQ: FEYE), the leader at stopping today's advanced cyber attacks, announced today that FireEye Vice President of Worldwide Channels and Alliances Steve Pataky has been recognized as one of the most powerful leaders in the IT channel.
CRN, a leading news source for solution providers and the IT channel, named Pataky one of this year's 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs. The Channel Chiefs honor recognizes those executives responsible for driving growth and revenue for organizations through indirect channel partners. The 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs list recognizes an elite subset of these channel executives based on their rank, channel savvy, ability to drive channel strategy within their own organization, and external impact on the channel at large. This is the second consecutive year Pataky has been named one of the 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs and the fifth time overall he has made the prestigious list. CRN selects individuals for these honors based on their track record of channel accomplishments, standing in the industry, dedication to the partner community, and plans for driving future business innovation and channel growth.
Pataky was recognized by CRN for his work expanding the FireEye Fuel Partner Program that helped double the size of the company's partner ecosystem in 2014. Key partner initiatives include a new a deal registration and deal protection program, plus a formalized program for non-standard pricing. FireEye has also expanded relationships with global telecommunications partners, signing strategic agreements with Verizon, Singtel and Deutsche Telekom over the last year.
"Channel partnerships are key to FireEye's success, and Steve has worked tirelessly to expand and enhance our partner business," said Dave DeWalt, chairman of the board and CEO of FireEye. "Steve and his team have accelerated FireEye's channel programs to enable our partners to deliver new product offerings and services that update their security practice and help keep their clients secure. While building these core programs, Steve has constantly sought new opportunities to extend FireEye's influence around the world and take us to new markets with new delivery models and partners and this is well-deserved recognition."
According to CRN, Pataky and other 2015 CRN Channel Chiefs have demonstrated their enduring support for the channel by consistently defending, promoting and executing effective channel partner programs and strategies.
"Each year, our editors carefully vet an extensive group of highly accomplished channel executives to highlight those exemplary individuals who earn the mantle of CRN Channel Chief," said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. "These executives strive to advance the success and standing of the channel community within their organizations. The 2015 CRN Channel Chiefs lead by example and serve as valuable advocates to help ensure the health and longevity of the IT channel. We applaud their accomplishments and look forward to their continued success."
The 2015 CRN Channel Chiefs list is featured in the February 2015 issue of CRN, and online at www.CRN.com.
