SUNNYVALE, CA, and MILPITAS, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/12/15 -- PFU Systems, a Fujitsu company and provider of network access control and security technology, and FireEye, Inc. (NASDAQ: FEYE), the leader in stopping today's advanced cyber attacks, today announced an integration between PFU System's award-winning iNetSec Smart Finder and the FireEye NX Series security platform to improve enterprise defense against advanced attacks. The integration addresses the increasing sophistication of threat actors and the rise of advanced persistent threat attacks, which have elevated the role of cyber security. According to the most recent M-Trends report, attackers were present on a victim's network a median of 205 days before being discovered.
The integrated solution offers enhanced protection by combining the capabilities of FireEye NX and iNetSec Smart Finder. When FireEye NX detects malware, customers can isolate the infected machine as well as automatically prevent further device infection, stopping lateral movement. Based on FireEye alerts, iNetSec Smart Finder can block lateral communications between infected machines, stopping machine-to-machine communications within the enterprise environment.
"PFU's innovative network device management and internal network scan is the ideal fit with our advanced threat detection," said Ed Barry, VP of technology alliances at FireEye. "Today, many customers rely on PFU Systems for its real-time integrated network security solutions. With this integration, enterprise customers have a stronger ability to shield themselves from advanced attacks."
"Data breaches and network attacks are now hitting organizations across every industry -- from retail and finance to healthcare and government -- on a daily basis," said Miguel Llerena, director of technology alliances at PFU Systems. "By joining forces with FireEye we've created a new breed of network security solution that can protect networks of all sizes."
PFU will showcase a beta version of the integrated solution at the upcoming Japan IT Week Show in Tokyo on May 13-15, 2015, at booth number East 41-3. The integrated solution will be available globally in June 2015.

About FireEye, Inc.
FireEye has invented a purpose-built, virtual machine-based security platform that provides real-time threat protection to enterprises and governments worldwide against the next generation of cyber attacks. These highly sophisticated cyber attacks easily circumvent traditional signature-based defenses, such as next-generation firewalls, IPS, anti-virus, and gateways. The FireEye Threat Prevention Platform provides real-time, dynamic threat protection without the use of signatures to protect an organization across the primary threat vectors and across the different stages of an attack life cycle. The core of the FireEye platform is a virtual execution engine, complemented by dynamic threat intelligence, to identify and block cyber attacks in real time. FireEye has over 3,400 customers across 67 countries, including over 250 of the Fortune 500.
