MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- (Marketwired) -- 06/11/15 -- JAMF Software, the leader in Apple device management, today announced technology industry veteran Dean Hager as its Chief Executive Officer. Hager has more than 20 years of experience in leadership positions at high-growth software and technology companies including Kroll Ontrack and Lawson Software.
"Businesses and schools love Apple products, and are continuing to adopt Mac, iPad, and iPhone devices in droves," said Dean Hager, CEO of JAMF Software. "This creates an enormous opportunity for JAMF by providing an easy way to manage these devices, helping organizations both large and small succeed with Apple. I am thrilled to be a part of it and to be leading JAMF in its next stage of growth."
Prior to joining JAMF Software, Hager served as president and CEO of Kroll Ontrack, a global provider of data recovery, data management and ediscovery solutions. Hager also served as executive vice president and general manager at Lawson, and held senior management roles for nearly a decade at IBM. Hager joins JAMF with a track record of successfully growing and scaling companies and will bring a deep dedication to continuing to foster the innovative spirit and unique employee culture founders Chip Pearson and Zach Halmstad have created at JAMF.
Previous co-CEOs Zach Halmstad and Chip Pearson will remain fully engaged at JAMF Software to focus on the development of products and strategic partnerships. Halmstad and Pearson will serve as partners to incoming CEO, Dean Hager, and will continue to serve on JAMF's board. The addition of Hager will enable JAMF to scale and address its overwhelming growth, as company revenues have grown by more than 100 percent over the past two years.
"This week marks JAMF's 13th birthday and as the company enters its 'teen' years it is only fitting to honor this milestone by celebrating the significant growth we've experienced thus far, and prepare for the exciting things in store for the company, starting with a new CEO," said Chip Pearson, Partner, Strategic Relationships, JAMF Software. "Dean offered everything we were looking for: solid leadership, keen understanding of product and go-to-market strategy, an alignment with our core values and a willingness to both teach and learn. We have found everything we were looking for and much more in Dean."
"Having shared the co-CEO role with Chip Pearson over the past two years, we have seen JAMF grow from 250 to now 432 employees, along with record revenues," said Zach Halmstad, Partner, Product Strategy, JAMF Software. "I could not imagine a better fit than Dean in leading JAMF in our next stage of growth. The move will enable Chip and myself to bring the biggest impact to our company and our customers, by focusing on the development of products and strategic partnerships."
