December 31, 2021, Los Angeles, CA - Worldwide Facilities, LLC ("Worldwide") is providing notice of a recent incident that may affect the security of some personal information for certain individuals. This notice provides information about the incident, its response, and resources available to help protect personal information from possible misuse.
What Happened? | On or around September 6, 2021, Worldwide began investigating potentially suspicious activity within its network. Worldwide, with the assistance of third-party experts, investigated to confirm the full nature and scope of this activity and to secure its systems. On September 15, 2021, it was determined that certain information on systems within the Worldwide network had been accessed and acquired without authorization between September 6 and September 12, 2021. Following this determination, Worldwide, with assistance of third-party specialists, performed a programmatic and manual review of the potentially impacted information. On or around December 8, 2021, the initial review of this information concluded, and it was determined that the accessible information included certain personal information. |
What Information Was Involved? | The information that may have been impacted includes the name and a combination of Social Security number, driver's license number and health insurance information for certain individuals. |
What We Are Doing. | Worldwide takes the security of information entrusted to it seriously and apologize for any inconvenience this incident may cause. As part of its ongoing commitment to the security of information within its care, Worldwide is reviewing its existing policies and procedures regarding cybersecurity and evaluating additional measures and safeguards to protect against this type of incident in the future. |
What You Can Do. | Worldwide encourages people to remain vigilant against incidents of identity theft and fraud by reviewing their account and monitoring their free credit reports for suspicious activity over the next 12 to 24 months. People may also review the information contained in the Steps You Can Take to Protect Personal Information that can be found at www.wwfi.com. Although we are not aware of any actual or attempted misuse of your personal information, as an added precaution, Worldwide is notifying those who may be affected and offering access to credit monitoring services. |
